We had to come clean and tell the kids that Santa called and asked their dad to fill in for him since he was visiting kids in another city. They thought it was so much fun that Andy got to be "Santa's helper" for the night.
Andy lived in this house in the mid-eighties for a couple of years. He believes he lived here when he was 7 yrs to 9 yrs old. He doesn't remember too much about South Carolina, but he does remember being baptised while living here. The family who now lives in the home was kind enough to let us in and see the inside. Once we set foot in the house, the memories came flooding back and Andy was able to tell us story after story. Nate was fascinated and loved hearing about his dad's life as a wild boy-child. One thing that Andy remembers very well while living in 
this house was the weddings that often took place there while his father was a Chaplain in the military. Andy and his brother were sent outside to go and play on these special occassions so the ceremonies would not be disrupted!
As you can see from her sweet little face, Sara is so much fun to have in our family! She is so delightful!
These boys have so much fun together. When they watch cartoons, they like to pretend that they are the main characters of what they are watching-- it reminds me of when I was their age-- and one of their favorite movies is Disney Three Musketeers. Nate is Goofy, Drew is Donald, and Jace is Mickey Mouse. No one else wants to be Mickey because Micky kisses Minnie in the movie...Jace is often teased about who "Minnie" really is. He makes it known that Sara is Minnie (since its ok to kiss your sister).
